Summary: "It's a bulb and it emits light"
I took out the old bulb, stuck in the new one, switched on my headlights and hey presto! I now had two working headlights, giving off an elecromagnetic beam in the visible spectrum.

Second, I've just had to have these bulbs replaced, 7 months after installing them - both failed at the same time.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Bulbs working well so far, no issues with brightness, too early to comment on longevity.
Installed on my 2006 Mazda 3-I. Installation wasn't too hard, except that I misinterpreted something which led me down the wrong path for a while. I can't remember if the instructions I was following were in the car manual or on the box of the bulbs, but I suspect it was the car manual. Note that what you remove from the headlamp enclosure is not just the old bulb, but the old bulb in a socket - this wasn't clear in the instructions I was following. After you remove the socket with old bulb, then remove the old bulb, replace with the new, and put the socket and new bulb back in the enclosure. I didn't notice that I'd removed both the socket and bulb at first and thought that the new bulb was just a totally different size to the old OEM. Probably just my stupidity at fault, but I thought I'd mention it here in case anyone else is equally stupid.

Summary: "Great product and quality."
Great product. The light output is very high and the looks are quite crisp. A uniform halo and considerable increase in visibility during night time. Not only the beams have further reach down the road, they also have a wider spread both horizontally and vertically. Great product at a very good price. Plus they have an 850 hours lifetime so it's going to be a while before I replace these. Just love them.
